Great to see - Beyerdynamic DT880, 600 ohm
I upgraded to the 600 when I got the Pietus Maximus, and they synergize wonderfully. They're replacing a 250 ohm pair I've enjoyed for 12 years.

It does! Maybe I'll get one just for décor.Probably. Although it does look pretty good just sitting there....

For a tube device what needs more break-in, the tube or the device?... More tubes later but dang, right out of the box it’s quite impressive.
They can... but the early 60s vintage 6N6P (upto '66) are much, much better than the 70s production. Don't ask me how I know or how many pairs it took to discover. Those gold pin 6N6P tubes sound interesting.
Have both; when the 600 ohm likes an amp ...I upgraded to the 600 when I got the Pietus Maximus, and they synergize wonderfully. They're replacing a 250 ohm pair I've enjoyed for 12 years.
1) It's inexpensiveY'all are killing me. I just bought a Flux Mentor so why tf do I want a Vali3 with a 396a in it ***?
LOL! I bet that guy on the horse is more than a little nervous.Isn’t that a little close to the dartboard?

Not to add to the volume of dissonance, but it's heavier too.It does! Maybe I'll get one just for décor.
I find the walwart being bigger than the device a bit dystopic/cognitive-dissonant....
... 4) It uses only one tube at a time, so GO WILD ... start with WE 396a1) It's inexpensive
2) It sounds awesome (at least my impression early on)
3) You'll sleep much better at night without the constant turmoil of a buy/not buy decision
I'm failing to see a negative here.
oh fasho my sentiment on that.... 4) It uses only one tube at a time, so GO WILD ... start with WE 396a
